Licensed as an Occupation Therapist specializing in John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy, I founded Therapeutic Relief in 1999. I work with a variety of clients including those with chronic pain and neurological dysfunction. Collaborating with other practitioners including Pilates instructors, I have developed a unique approach of meeting the needs of my clients while incorporation the mind/body connection. It is my goal to teach my clients about body awareness while helping to guide them through their healing journey.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. I am certified in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) and I have completed advance training in MyofasciaI Release Therapy. I enjoy spending time outdoors enjoying nature. My hobbies include hiking, gardening, cooking and spending time with my husband and two daughters.
In 2016, I left a career in law enforcement to obtain a massage therapy license, and soon after pursued advanced training in the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach. Myofascial release is the most effective and safe form of manual therapy I have ever encountered. I first found Therapeutic Relief as a patient, seeking help after years of compounded repetitive injury from competitive martial arts. Now, I am very grateful to feel better and to be able to make a living helping others. I have experience working with chronic pain, mental illness, trauma, and addiction, in addition to other issues such as car accidents, surgeries, and sports injuries. My hobbies include real estate investing, hiking and trail running.
